The Community has an Augustinian Rule and for much of its history has cared for elderly and infirm women. In 1997, because of decreasing numbers, the Convent at Lindfield (Sussex) was sold and the Mother House moved the former theological college at Chichester, which by then bacame a retirement home. There they continued their pastoral work and used the former College Chapel for Mass and Offices. In July 2004, there were only two members of the community left and it was decided they they move for the last time to be with their home community, St Mary the Virgin at Wantage, where they live at St Katherine's House
